The film is the Telugu remake of the Tamil film ‘Asuran’ which starred Dhanush and was directed by Vetrimaaran
Amazon Prime Video today announced the direct release of the Telugu action drama Narappa July 20. With a star-studded cast and a captivating screenplay by national winner Vetrimaaran, the streaming service offers the Telougou adaptation of the hit Tamil film Asurane.

The story of this film follows the protagonist Narappa, a farmer from a picturesque village of Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Directed by Srikanth Addala, the film is co-produced by D. Suresh Babu and Kalaippuli S. Thanu and stars Venkatesh Daggubati as well as Priyamani, Karthik Rathnam and Rajsekhar Aningi in key roles.

Released in 2019, Asuran was a huge hit, as the Dhanush and Vetri Maaran combination clinched gold at the global box office.
