The most anticipated 2022 movie release coming out this week is the latest (and, supposedly, the last) installment of the jurassic park franchise, Jurassic World: Dominion. I wonder if this new blockbuster has inspired some Netflix subscribers to get interested in prehistoric times, which could explain the platform’s latest addition to the Top 10 Movies in the US on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Again, this could just be that audiences crave exciting and adventurous entertainment, which is also a common theme in the list and the top 10 TV shows. Let’s take an even deeper look at the trending titles on Netflix (opens in a new tab) today in our next breakdown.

Every summer, action movies dominate the box office, and apparently Netflix is lining up in the US as well, as evidenced by today’s Top 10 Movies, on which Interceptoragain, lead the peloton just above The Amazing Spider-Man, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (whose 1996 predecessor is also on the rise), and We die young with Jean-Claude Van Damme. Meanwhile, James Cameron’s historic disaster epic Titanic is now in fifth place, another Best Picture Oscar winner The Hurt Locker is just as popular as yesterday, and new to the list at the bottom is 10,000 BC – another historical epic (a term used lightly here) from director Roland Emmerich from 2008. Netflix subscribers also found 1994 to be a laugh Stupid and even dumber still scores big in sixth place and in 2004 Presenter: The Legend of Ron Burgundy Still reporting, but in a new location today, at number nine.

- 2. The Amazing Spider-Man
- 3. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol
- 4. We die young

Top 10 TV Shows on Netflix in the US – June 8, 2022
Typically, I can point to a slight change on each of these daily breakdowns for what’s trending on Netflix, but that’s not quite the case for the top 10 TV shows in the US today. because each of the titles that appear on the list are just as popular as the day before. By this I mean that the list is totally identical to yesterday’s, with the latest episodes of stranger things at the top, Cocomelon comfortably seated at the bottom, and other favorites like all americanthe recent mystery drama The perfect motherthe return of The floor is lava, and other ever-popular series appearing in the same order in between. After all, though, I guess there’s nothing wrong with a little consistency, right?
- 1. Stranger Things
- 2. All Americans
- 3. Lincoln’s Lawyer
- 4. Survive the summer
- 6. The Perfect Mother
- 7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- 8. The floor is lava
- 9. Wrong side of tracks
- 10. Cocomelon
It was pretty much a given anyway that stranger things would continue to reign supreme among the top 10 TV shows and likely will be by the time the second volume of Season 4 premieres on July 1. However, many titles are coming or coming back to the platform soon (such as the third season of The Umbrella Academy) which will probably shake things up. In the meantime, we’ll be sure to let you and other Netflix subscribers know how things have changed (or stayed the same) among the hottest movies and TV shows streaming every day.
