Steven Spielberg’s next film hitting theaters in November 2022

As well as being one of the greatest directors of all time, let alone the most successful in terms of box office returns, Steven Spielberg is also one of the most prolific.

Having mastered his craft a long time ago, the bearded legend is renowned for bringing his productions home on time and generally under budget, which makes the arduous task of filmmaking seem like a cinch. . West Side Story hasn’t even been released yet, but Deadline reports that Spielberg’s next feature The Fabelman has already staked an arc on November 23, 2022.

West Side Story

His musical remake is generating a lot of buzz during awards season while winning accolades as one of his best in decades, and The Fabelman could be about to do the exact same thing. The semi-autobiographical drama is based on Spielberg’s own upbringing, so it promises to be his most personal film to date.

Gabriel LaBelle is the lead role of Sammy Fabelman, based on young Spielberg, with Michelle Williams, Paul Dano and Seth Rogen playing loose interpretations of his favorite mother, father and uncle. The release date is The Fabelman in direct competition with Michael B. Jordan’s debut film Creed III, so we’ll be interested to see if any of them blink given that each project is an emotional story that contains a lot of name value.
