St. Pete Beach Theater Sells Vintage Movie Posters

People can help bring back the Beach Theater and get a vintage movie poster, all in one fell swoop.

The Beach Theater on Corey Avenue in St. Pete Beach has seen hundreds of movie posters in its lifetime. Movie buffs will have the chance to purchase these vintage posters at the Corey Avenue Sunday Market on April 10.

The 27′ by 40′ posters range from films such as “Stranger Than Fiction” to “13 Going on 30”. They once lined the building, but now (for $20) they can go home with shoppers.

After nine years of inactivity, the St. Pete Beach Theater is being restored and will reopen as a theater. A non-profit, The Beach Theater Community Foundation, Inc. operates the theater.

The building is a far cry from popcorn and date nights, but fundraisers like these will get the theater up and running faster.

You can’t do it? Browse and buy posters online.
