As autumn is in full swing and daylight saving time draws to a close, Manchester Grand Hyatt’s Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero is embracing the seasonal change by adjusting its November schedule to provide more opportunities for families than ever before. enjoy a day or a night of the big movie at San Diego’s most iconic outdoor cinema. With their massive new LED screen, outdoor cinema experts are introducing new special events for the whole family, like bingo nights, holiday arts and crafts, and first screenings where pajamas are popular.

From November 2, RCC Embarcadero will open exclusively from Thursday to Sunday. Thursdays and Fridays will feature an early evening matinee for all ages followed by a premier screening for ages 18 and over, while Saturdays and Sundays will feature a trio of mornings for all ages, followed by a evening screening for ages 18 and over. Select Thursday screenings will also be open to guests 13 and older for Teen Thursdays. Separate admission is required.

New special events

Special events are a staple at the Rooftop Cinema Club, and there are several new additions geared towards families, including Popcorn and Pajamas, Teen Thursdays, and Kids Club, all of which debut in November.

Movies: Frozen, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas

The Rooftop Cinema Club can’t imagine a better way for guests to experience the morning movies than in their favorite, comfiest pajamas, so on Sundays in November, they’ll be opening the Rooftop early for screenings of some of the vacation favorites of winter. Pajamas are optional, but strongly encouraged!

Kids club – November 6, 13, 20 and 27
Movies: Paw Patrol: The Movie, Toy Story 4, The Polar Express

Every Saturday in November, RCC Embarcadero will host crafts for children during morning screenings. Just in time for the holidays, crafts will include ornaments, snowflakes, and more!

Bingo night – November 4, 11 and 18
Movies: 10 Things I Hate About You, People’s Choice: Leonardo DiCaprio, The Notebook

Do you love bingo as much as you love the movies? If so, you are in luck! Every Thursday in November, join the Rooftop Cinema Club for some Bingo fun at top-notch screenings. Each week they’ll have a new themed bingo board that features quotes from the movie, so be sure to follow along. It’s free and there will be prizes for the first 3 winners!

“Teen Thursdays” – November 4 and 18
Movies: 10 things I hate about you, the notebook

The Rooftop Cinema Club isn’t like an ordinary Rooftop, it’s a cool Rooftop, so Thursday November 4 and 18 teenage moviegoers 13 and over are invited to attend the main screening featuring popular movies. on coming of age. Each teenager who presents a valid college or high school ID card at the concession stand will receive a free box of candy. And for parents, RCC suggests checking the movie rating before making any plans as ratings vary.

Wes Anderson Double Bill – November 7
Movies: The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Royal Tenenbaums

RCC Embarcadero presents Wes Anderson with a double lineup of his films in honor of his eccentric new creation, The French Dispatch, finally on the big screen. RCC will screen two of his greatest ensemble films: the melancholy but hilarious The Royal Tenenbaums and his whimsical take on 1930s Europe in The Grand Budapest Hotel.

For guests who wish to attend both screenings, they can purchase their ticket for the first screening, then click HERE to fill out a short form and receive a 25% discount code for the second screening. Tickets for The Royal Tenenbaums and The Grand Budapest Hotel must be purchased separately.

The Rooftop Cinema Club’s captioned screenings are open to all moviegoers and feature subtitles throughout the film to make the event accessible to deaf and hard of hearing guests.

Sing-Along – November 14

There’s no better way to enjoy one of America’s favorite musicals than by singing along with the characters on the screen! The Rooftop Cinema Club provides the mic for guests to sing along to their favorite Grease hits during this interactive sing-along experience!

Wooftop Cinema Club – November 7 and 21
Movies: Cruella, The Grinch

The Rooftop Cinema Club’s “Wooftop” screenings are back and the RCC is inviting its four-legged friends to the Rooftop. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs, and all dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. A special rescue zone will also be provided on the site.

People’s Choice Night Featuring a Leonardo DiCaprio Classic – November 11
Film: to be determined

Leonardo DiCaprio seems to have already completed several careers. Whether it’s a teenage idol, a leading independent man, or a highly acclaimed Oscar-winning actor, he’s done it all! On his birthday night, RCC Embarcadero lets his guests decide which films of this acting genius he should screen. RCC fans can vote for the Leo movie they’d like to see on the rooftop HERE. Voting closes on November 1 and the winning film will be announced on November 2.

The Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero is located at Manchester Grand Hyatt (1 Market Place, San Diego, 92101) on the 4th floor outdoor sports terrace of the Harbor Tower with stunning skyline views. Doors and movie start times vary, so customers are advised to check the schedule. Early opening allows customers enough time to select their seats on a first come, first served basis and to enjoy the ‘Social Cinema’ aspect of the Rooftop Cinema Club, which includes incredible views, classic table games and fantastic food and drink. And once the movies begin, moviegoers will find themselves immersed in their favorite cinematic moments thanks to high-fidelity personal headphones and a crystal-clear picture on their famous large LED screen.
