Kristen Stewart on “Twilight” Movie She “Just Didn’t Like”


Kristen Stewart has never shied away from her love of dusk movies. Although all five films made her a household name and millions of dollars, she didn’t join the cast for these reasons. In fact, when Stewart agreed to be Bella Swan, no one expected movies to be so successful. So what made Stewart want to be part of the dusk films if not for fame and fortune? Like millions of other people, Stewart fell in love with Stephenie Meyer’s eponymous book series. When she read the book, she became in awe of Bella’s character and felt that the role would challenge her as an actor. She eagerly signed up to be the goofy, vampire-obsessed human, adding her personal flair to the infamous role.

Of course, Stewart’s passion for filmmaking sometimes faded over time. Once Summit Entertainment saw that they had a franchise in their hands, they went out of their way to produce the films. It ended up wreaking havoc on Stewart. By the time she was doing Eclipse (the third dusk film), she had lost some of the love she had for making films.

“I just didn’t like it,” Stewart explained to the Los Angeles Times In regards to Eclipse. “Back then, we kind of pumped them up. The films were very close to each other. It was a bit mechanical. It is the most painful, when we know it. When you’re on a set and you know you’re dropping things. We let things fall through our fingers. “

Fortunately, Stewart was able to regain his passion for making dusk movies. Considering the makeover her character undergoes in the last two films, she’s had a lot of work to do. Plus, because she didn’t like the experience of doing Eclipse, she was determined to make sure her time making the last two films was enjoyable.

Ultimately, Stewart acknowledges that the dusk movies didn’t always have the best continuity. However, she still remembers her time in the franchise with great fondness. In a conversation with Magazine interview, she reflected on the ups and downs of making blockbuster movies.

“I mean, it was a long process, so it’s hard to generalize about this as a whole,” Stewart revealed. “It wasn’t entirely consistent. We have fluctuated. I will certainly admit it. But the intention is so pure in a strange way. Anyone who wants to talk about dusk, I totally understand, but there is something out there that I am constantly, and to this day, proud. I remembered it – I still feel – really good. “
