Now, Harry potter series author JK Rowling is all the rage (again) for the wrong reasons (again) due to a synopsis for the upcoming film that suggests Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore (April 15, 2022) will have a WWII setting:
Several years after the events of the Crimes of Grindelwald, the story takes place partly in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and partly in Berlin, Germany and leads to the involvement of the wizarding world in World War II. With Grindelwald’s rapid growth in power, Albus Dumbledore gives Newt Scamander and his friends a mission that will lead to a clash with Grindelwald’s army, and lead Dumbledore to wonder how long he will be left on the sidelines of the war that approach.

Social media users are concerned that Rowling’s opinions and the characters’ past portrayals may impact the presentation of the Jewish people in the highly anticipated film, which will star Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelwald after Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean) was fired amid his ongoing legal drama with ex-wife Amber Heard.

Right now, of course, concerns about how the plot of the next Dumbledore-centric film will be handled remain pure speculation.
This third part of the Fantastic Beasts universe is the continuation of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018). It will star Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Callum Turner, William Nadylam, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Jessica Williams, Jude Law, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol and, as noted, Mads Mikkelsen.
