Viewers have noticed an odd detail in the new sci-fi movie Do not seek after the Hollywood blockbuster was released on Netflix.
An eagle-eyed fan posted a clip to TIC Tac showing a scene from the satirical comedy that reveals the crew behind the scenes during several frames.
Users were quick to poke fun at the seemingly obvious edit failure – but it seems not everyone thinks it was an accident.

“So hey guys I was just watching Do not seekTikTok user Ben Kohler said during the video.
“And at one hour, 28 minutes, and 10 seconds, it looks like you can see the entire film crew standing here, for about three or four frames.”
In the clip, which Ben captioned with the word ‘oopsy’, he added, “They’re like, ‘Oh, they probably won’t notice. ” Yeah.”
TikTok fans were divided over whether the “blooper” was intentional, with some saying it was an intentional move.
“Um, this is a mock documentary. You’re supposed to see them,” one person wrote.
“Given the nature of the movie, it’s probably intentional,” said another person.

However, director Adam McKay ended the speculation after sending the edit error message to fans on Twitter.
“Good eye! We left this spot from the team on purpose to commemorate the strange filming experience. #DontLookUp“, explained the director.
Do not seek quickly became one of the must-see movies of 2021, with social media teeming with rave reviews for the dark comedy.
The film follows two Michigan astronomers – played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence – as they notify the government of an impending comet that will destroy all human life.
