Doctor Strange 2 Merchandise Apparently Reveals Variant of a Beloved Character


The Marvel Cinematic Universe is constantly expanding, and Phase Four was certainly no exception in that regard. The following next marvel movie heading to theaters is Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which looks totally wild. And now some Doctor Strange 2 the merchandise apparently revealed another beloved character’s variant.

As the title of the film suggests, the second strange doctor the film is expected to tear the multiverse apart in dramatic fashion. The limited footage showed multiple versions of the main character Benedict Cumberbatch, and it looks like we’ll also see some form of Captain Marvel. But some new toys have hinted that we may be encountering an alternate version of Wong. The picture made the rounds Twittercheck it out below.

It’s intriguing. In addition to a Wong figure released for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, there is also another version of the character that looks set to appear. He’s called “Defender Wong” and is apparently a variant of Benedict Wong’s signature MCU character. Sign me up.

Exactly how these two versions of Wong will take into account Doctor Strange 2 remains a mystery, but each update on the mysterious blockbuster helps to increase fan anticipation. Filmmaker Sam Raimi ran a tight set, with no major leaks throughout the film’s protracted filming process. As such, a number of variations and plot twists could appear throughout the runtime of the film (which is said to be quite long.)

The stakes certainly look high in the limited footage that has been released from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. For his part, Wong looks like he’s set to take a few licks throughout the mystery sequel. And since Spider-Man: No Coming Home previously revealed he was named the new Sorcerer Supreme, smart money says the magical character is going to have a meaty role. Wong was also seen in the mid-credits scene for Shang Chirevealing that he has remained in close contact with The Avengers.

The seemingly infinite possibility of variants in Doctor Strange 2 is just one of the reasons fans can’t wait for Sam Raimi’s blockbuster to finally hit theaters. The film will serve as a sequel to Benedcit Cumberbatch’s first film, as well as Wanda Vision and his controversial role in Spider-Man: No Coming Home. And fans are especially looking forward to to see Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch back on screen and use her awesome new powers.

There is a ton of fan theories about what could be in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessinspired by the first trailers. It looks like Patrick Stewart is back as Professor X, though the on-screen version of the mutant remains to be seen. There are a ton of narrative balls in the air, including the entry of new superhero America Chavez.
