Colossal box office flop grabs onto streaming success

Tom Holland is set to have an interesting 2021 to put it lightly, with the actor headlining three films all of which have had vastly different critical and business fortunes.

Spider-Man: No Path Home is currently chuckling at the box office records, as it also reigns as the highest-rated live-action blockbuster the web superhero has ever been in. On the other side of the coin, the Russo brothers Cherry saw the star earn good marks for her performance, but the film itself was a huge disappointment.

And then there is Chaos march. The troubled literary adaptation hit theaters with little fanfare earlier this year, where it barely managed to recoup a quarter of the $ 100 million budget. An Effects-Driven Fantasy with Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Peter Parker and Star wars‘Daisy Ridley in the leads would have been an easy sale, if it weren’t for the fact that the end product was pretty terrible.

Director Doug Liman has been replaced by Fede Álvarez for the many reshoots, and you can almost see the joins. However, because Chaos march will always be a movie that has Tom Holland in it, the infamous dud enjoyed a good little No way homestreaming-related bump, reaching thirteenth place on Amazon’s most-watched list, according to FlixPatrol.
