It took a lot of takes to Cho Yi Hyun to get her romantic kiss scene in “All of Us Are Dead,” but co-star Lomon didn’t care!
In a recently released commentary video for the hit zombie series “All of Us Are Dead”, the stars Ji Hu Park, Yoon Chan Young, Cho Yi Hyun and Lomon caught up with director Lee Jae Gyu and writer Chun Sung Il to discuss the drama and share some funny behind-the-scenes stories from the filming.
Watching Cho Yi Hyun and Lomon’s kiss scene, director Lee Jae Gyu joked, “Even now, Lomon can’t stop smiling. He looks so happy to watch [this scene].” He then asked the cast, “How many takes did we do?”
After a moment of thought, Lomon replied, “17 takes? He and Cho Yi Hyun added in unison, “We really did a lot of takes.”
Cho Yi Hyun then explained, “I felt really sorry for Lomon. ‘Cause I had my eyes closed when I bent down [for the kiss], so I couldn’t find where her lips were.
However, she then revealed that Lomon joked that he actually enjoyed all the takes, which caused everyone to burst out laughing. “I kept saying, ‘Lomon, I’m so sorry. Can we try just one more time? I’m so sorry,” she recalled. “But Lomon was like, ‘Personally, I’m happy to continue.'”
Lomon playfully added, “Before I shot that scene, I kept worrying, ‘How can we pull the kiss back? I’m so nervous. What do I do?’ But after [Cho Yi Hyun] kissed me, I realized, “Oh, that’s why actors do romantic dramas.”
He made everyone laugh by adding, “This is my favorite scene.”
