A viewer was quoted as saying by KXAN that the film was put on hiatus and several attempts were made to get the bat out of the theater, but these were unsuccessful. Animal control was “contacted immediately,” theater management said, as quoted by the People report as citing CBS Austin. Moviegoers were offered another ticket, but the majority opted to stay and watch the film.
The theater management said KXAN that they believe “a guest tried to pull a prank”. “To make sure a prank like this doesn’t happen again, we’ll be adding extra security and checking all bags as guests enter,” General Manager Heidi Deno said as quoted by KXAN.
Released March 4 The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell.
